What We Do
The procedure starts with a full clean of the surface of the driveway. If necessary, when the driveway has dried, the crack control joints will be cleaned and silicone re-applied. The sealant layer will then be applied, which will fully protect the concrete underneath and make it look as good as new.
At Driveway Re-sealing we apply an acrylic seal which will bring out the full depth of colour as well as highlighting the release colour that gives a more realistic look to the driveway. The seal is available in three different finishes, gloss, mid sheen and matt.
Some may think that once a surface is resealed it’s shiny which makes it slippery. This is a myth. The treatment we put on the driveway has an added anti-slip system to create traction under foot, so there’s nothing to worry about.
Having a reseal is critical in keeping the look of the driveway pristine. If left for too long between seals the weathering or general wear can work off the top layer resulting in compromising the integrity of the concrete. “Plucking” can be caused when the concrete is not protected. As long as the seal is regularly applied there is no reason for this to happen. Any minor blemishes will be eradicated and repaired through the sealing.
A pattern imprinted driveway should be re-sealed every 2-3 years depending on frequency of use.
